I'm heading out of town for a few days, so I thought I'd drop in
and let you know what I'm working on! I've got some stuffed animals
that are ready to go into the shop when I get back - they really
are adorable! Modern whales, dinosaurs, and elephants. I'm working
on some more aprons as well - this time BIB aprons - finally your
chest will be covered! Everyone asks for them, and I'll finally
have some made in the next few weeks, so definitely check back in
the store to see those. And finally, something I've been trying to
pull together recently - necklaces! I've made several pendants from
my lovely 100% wool felt (3mm thick), embroidered them, and have
attached them to round wire necklaces. I wore one to work
today and got a ton of compliments, so I hope you will too!
I'm heading down the big highway to Toronto for the weekend. My
husband is a hobby race car driver in this series
(please, don't even ask, it's crazy, I know), and he's in one of
the support races at the Hondy Indy. I'm heading down to show my
support with a little bit of meeting up with old girlfriends,
shopping, museuming, and antiquing all thrown in! I found an
antique shop in Cobourg that has great stuff. Even more exciting is
the owner travels to France several times a year to bring back
VINTAGE FRENCH LINEN!!! I am tickled pink with excitement to hang
out with him tomorrow for a couple of hours. I really hope he's got
some nice stuff (um, it's French. And vintage. What's not to
like?)
