What's new, pussycat?

Bullrushes and birds

Hello there, my lovely readers! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying a lovely spring wherever you are. I've been working on some new items for the shop, and if I might say so myself, I like how my silhouette is shaping up for the summer :) I've created a few designs for the online shop in the shape of bullrushes, a bird, and a branch. I've got a bunch more ideas up my sleeve, so definitely stay tuned!

I'm happy to announce that manusmade is now Live! And In Person! You can find my silhouette pillows, along with a variety of tea towels, felt containers, and coasters at Flock Boutique on Wellington Avenue, in Wellington Village here in Ottawa! I'm so excited about this relationship, as I've always been in awe of the designers and artisans that owners Bridget and Christina showcase in both Flock and their original shop Workshop (on Dalhousie). If you buy some goods, the money might go right back into Flock - I was there eyeing up a beautiful dress on the weekend!

I'm also super happy to announce that I will be a seller at the Idle Hands Craft Show on June 11. This spring the show will be at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 760 Somerset Street West, in Chinatown. Doors are open from 10am to 5pm. A load of great artisans are going to be there, and I count myself lucky enough to be among them. Come out and buy local, support handmade, and have some treats at the same time. There will be lots of great food there! I hear that Spins and Needles DJs will be there so if you stop by my table, I'll make sure to take a dance break with you!
