Moment Without A Name - Spring is in the air

DSC_0145

Let me introduce you to Chianti. He's the Italian stallion that I keep in the driveway, you know, for anytime I want a ride - the kind that gets my hair really messy. He's younger than I am (of course). He can easily carry my golf clubs, and doesn't ask much in return. He doesn't drink much, which makes him cheap (but don't tell him). He's a lovely plumy wine colour, and he unashamedly loves showing me his wood (paneling and shift knob). In case you think I'm having an affair, I am, but it's ok, since it was my husband that introduced us.

I'm not really a car person, but man o man, I love this one. It's a 1978 Fiat Spider, and we recently pulled it out of winter storage. You know what that means, right? It's Spring!!! Yay, I'm so happy to pull myself out of deep slumber. I'm going out with just a sweater on and it feels so good to shake out the sleep of the past few months. Warm air is like nectar to me - I start to feel alive, and feel like anything is possible. Like a new moon - everything is new again, fresh starts abound, and good intentions are made. It's a time to get inspired, to look around and find new life. It's a very creative time, and ideas are coming fast and furious to me. How about you? Are you waking up and getting creative?

**What's a moment without a name, you ask? It's moment where your heart sings, your senses are ignited, you can see, feel, hear, things that are sacred to you. They come from any of those textural moments in a life, be it surrounded by wooly coziness in front of a fire or the heat of the sun on your face. Join me as I celebrate these moments and textures in our lives, they don't last long.**
